Hiking along an had these birds gobble on their own about 7:30 this morning. Got setup an it wasn't ten minutes an they was strutting at 20 yards. The biggest bird I was targeting finally was facing away while I drew, he took a spitfire maxx up the A-hole. One flop an one wing flop an he was done. 1 1/16 spurs but had 4 beard with over 23" of combined length. His buddies just stood around and had no idea what had happened.

Very impressive! Might have to give up the crossbow.

Pretty picture and congrats on an archery bird! It's mind boggling that as wary as those birds are and how they'll pick up any movement and flee that they just stand around after a shot going duh, duh what was that. It does give those subordinate birds the opportunity for payback by jumping on the downed bird though.
