Hey guys,

My work just opened up PTO requests for the year and I want to get in my request early for the first week of archery season in units A and B.

All I can find are the dates for the 2022-2023 season, but don't see anything for the 2023-2024 season dates.

Does anyone know what dates it is going to open up this year?

This table was in the approved 2022 TFWC Proclamation. It is a good tool for planning, but it is not "official" for 2023 deer season. I have little concern that it will change, but it could.

These have been the standard dates for 10-15 years at least. Even before that, Archery was 4th Saturday in September. Gun was Saturday before TG. ML used to be shorter.

Your brave if u schedule that week now. Could be 90 degrees

I had to pick my vacation time last November for 2023 , hard to change dates around and I went with what has always been the normal opening dates

My whole family always schedules the 1st week of MZ season for our biggest hunt every year. This last year it really killed us. Hot temperatures and a seriously delayed rut due to the drought. But, traditionally, that one of the best weeks in my area.

Thanks. mainly looking for that "one page" summary they release for all the statewide seasons. (small game, big game etc.) they normally do it every year just havnt seen one this year

Hard to say, at least for us in Middle Tennessee. I have a friend (and few others that hunt a farm that is 2 miles as the crow flies), the rut hits there first week of muzzleloader, on the farm I hunt it is not unusual to still bachelor groups of bucks the first week of muzzleloader, or you may not even see a buck. The week of Thanksgiving to the week after is when the rut hits on the farm we hunt. As I said these farms are 2 miles apart as the crow flies.
