I feel like I have a decent picture at this point on my farms for this year's hatch. Kinda strange. At this point, it is feast or famine...

Only 1 out of 8 or 9 hens have poults, but the broods those hens did hatch remain larger than average. Makes me think there are some really good mommas out there and the majority of hens are terrible mommas (sorta like modern society as a whole).
Overall poult to hen numbers are down somewhat on my farms compared to 2023 and 2022. I'll be fine next year as we have a ton of jakes from 2023 hatch, but 2026 may be a bit leaner unless there is a lot of carryover of older birds.

Pretty much the exact same consensus for my region. Really spotty. There are some decent sized broods around, but a whole lot of hens without poults. But with our massive 2022 hatch and ~average 2023 hatch, we will be fine. Just need another decent hatch next year.

Another fantastic hatch on my place bur here's what so interesting; I have fewer pictures than ever and I think I know why...the thinning and burning that took place. My cams are in the same places they are every summer collecting deer census and in years past, I'd routinely seen hens with poults. But with all the new nesting/brooding cover, they're staying in there vs the places they were in the past. Every time I ride the roads thru the timber there's turkeys running and flying everywhere.

This year is the best I've seen in the 11 years living here. I've seen probably 10-12 groups of hens/poults and the average is at least 4 poults per hen. We have a flock of 3 hens and 16 poults running around that we've been seeing regularly for about a month now. The others I've seen are driving about and to and from work, and only one flock is low pph, with two hens and two poults, which was pretty standard until the last two years when I started to see more, especially last year. The next couple springs look to be pretty good hunting.

Good hatch! Seeing some very nice groups of poults. Very few jakes seen last season in Mid TN. Hopefully decent carry over we shall see.
