2025 Trout stocking schedules released

There's a big part of me that kinda hates to see the bridge reopened. It sure has been peaceful up there the last couple years!
I feel the same way. But maybe Citico is worthwhile again. The half stocking for half the months made fishing pretty rough. We'd catch a few down there but had to hike a good ways away from the road.

I rarely fish for stocked trout but the lack of traffic getting to and fro the wild streams in the area has been very nice!

Before I moved down south, I used to love fishing wild trout on the fly. Now that I'm back fishing with my son, I'm happy to catch stockers on a coffee grinder. I'm expecting as he gets more experienced we'll move more in your direction. TBH, I've nearly forgotten how I fished back then. It's like I'm relearning it. For what its worth, I did make sure he caught his first trout on a fly rod.

I totally agree. Clinch used to be one of the best cold water fisheries in the southeastern US. Not so now-

You want to spend a ton of money getting non native trout to spawn next to the grist mill?

CRB for beer would be a better investment-

I see they plan no stocking for the clinch but not sure that will slow down the folks using it, I floated the river from the weir dam to down below 61 bridge years ago, there were a couple boats fishing for rockfish pretty far up the river, I reckon they try to go up river to try to spawn? trout going up that little creek couldn't provide enough fish to sustain any type of fishing I wouldn't think, while it's nice to think they are helping I wouldn't bet it is. I have seen a lot of dead muscles so I reckon there is still a population there? also see a lot of little shells I suspect might be zebra muscles. I have been fishing the clinch for over 50 years and it has went through several changes, not sure all of them have been for the better.

Anyone that is old enough to have fished the Clinch in the mid to late 80's would agree with you guys. Phenomenal fishing with lots of big trout!

TWRA, TVA, and Phil Bertoli from Tennessee Tech screwed this river!

I NEVER have understood why TWRA publishes stocking dates……
