anyone know where to find once fired 257wby brass? buddy is looking at a vanguard new but price of new wby brass high and turning him toward 25-06 rem.

got a friend that has one. ill ask him about his brass. he said he was going to reload but he hasnt yet. he keeps complaining about the $60 box of shells. needless to say he doesnt shoot it a lot.

I have heard it said more than a few times you can use 7mm Rem Mag brass. Little difference in length.

we looked at that when he was going to reload, but we figured you would have to have forming dies to create the double rounded shoulder on the weatherby cart. i dont know if you could fire form it, havent heard of anyone trying it.

It can be done by simply running the 7mm brass through the .257 sizing die. The necks will be shorter using 7mm brass.

I can tell you finding used .257 brass will be difficult if not impossible. As for Weatherby brass 50 will do for quite sometime even if you figure 4-5 loadings per piece.

found a couple pretty good deals on a few new .257 weatherbys at a store nearby but the price of the shells is whats scareing me out of buying it too
