270 win recipes

I've got some 130gr ballistic tips I'm wanting to load. Anyone have any recipes for them? Gun used will be Browning Abolt and XBolt.

I'd start with H4831 or I4350. I4831 or H4350 would work as well, but they aren't interchangeable. In my 270 wins I have found that I've had better luck on max charges of H4831, whereas I've topped out in pressure and accuracy below max in I4350. YMMV

My cousin swears by RL22. He shoots 57gr behind Nosler 130gr Ballistic Tip.

I shoot 150 gr hornady interlocks over 53 grains of IMR 4831. It's not a hot load and a pleasure to shoot and very accurate for me. YMMV

I found a load works in multiple 270's. 55.5 gr H4350 with 130 Accubond or Ballistic Tip.

130 gr Hornady Interlocks with 55 gr of IMR 4350 has been my standby for many years. Very accurate in my Rem 700 and good terminal performance on deer.

Dont have any ballistic tip info, but have used IMR4064 with 130 gr Sierra gamekings for years with no performance probs.

H4831SC or IMR4831. I prefer the H4831SC as I think it less sensitive to temperature changes. 4831 and 130gr boolits have long been the magic for the 270W.

Using imr4350 for 130 grain interlocks on up to 145 grain eldx for my model 700 in 270. Imr4350 has been in stock pretty regularly at midsouth here lately.

I tried the 57gr RL22 yesterday and at I believe it's gonna be a good load. I shot it out of my Abolt and XBolt. Both just 2 shots each.

I'd ease up on powder, to get rid of what little verticle you have.

Reloader 22 @ 60.0 with 130 BT or Accubond or Partition
Fed 210m
WW cases
58.0 with 150 Part
59.0 with 140gr

I tried my load out on these 2 does on 12/26. Both were around 60-75 yards and both ran approximately 40-50 yards. Bullet destroyed lungs and heart.

If you cronograph the load is below 270 vel
Increase your load to 60/61gr of RL22 and you will be at 270 Win Vel level . RL 22 a excellent powder in 270 Win used it for years switching from H4831.
