How many pics will a 2gb card hold on 5 megapixels?

Depends. You can find out a good estimate by taking ten pics and averaging how many kb they take up. 2GB=2097152KB Divide that by the average you got. I would use 5 daylight and 5 night pics.

I eliminated the guessing and got 8gb cards

Lets say your average pic is 1 mb. Should be able to hold 2048 pics on a 2 gb. My primos cam takes 3 megapixel photos in day and 1.3mp at night. Day pics average about 1 mb and night pics are much less. So you'd probably average a little higher but it depends on the camera.

I was just curious on it. I bought a buddle pack that included a 2 gb. But it didn't say online what it was capable of holding. I seen that some where 8 gb, some was 16, others were as high as 32 and 64 gb. So I guess I will have to read more on it when it gets here tuesday

Thats about the max I would go with todays cams,after that it just slows your cam down.
