I've never seen so many long beards strutting at the same time as I did this morning. Probably shouldn't have walked out empty handed today, but just means we'll have to get after em again soon.

well i shouldve went. i had to work at ten and planned on hunting the morning and going in and i figured itd be storming so i said forget it. regretting it now

I saw three hens and 5 hunters :grin: did see two strutters on private land with about 4 hens.

Finally lowered the boom on one this morning because I got lucky and set up right since I knew the general area where they're roosting. He gobbled a handful of times on the roost but not once when he hit the ground.

they gobbled pretty good this morning but have hens with them.i have two leases within a half mile and they didn't gobble on one this morning and the other thery gobbled up til noon.i called in hens twice that got within 10 yards and screwed me up on the gobblers that were following them.Did see several struting in fields.
