That was funny... First question.... Next.... Dumpster fire.

Note: Nothing personal to any member or person. If you are named Vol or TN I will say sorry. If not I'm talking about a football program...

I'm not stirring anything. But I think this is only the end of the beginning of this saga. Again, like PDB said, the whole college sports world, which includes potential HCs, are watching all of this unfold. If you are one of those coaches, I'd think one of the top 3 things you look for is stability in the athletic Dept. Now you got an old man who's really going to be an interim hiring you. Who's next? And if all this Haslam stuff is true, do you think he's going to play nice from now on? Plus, this is like UF hiring Spurrier as AD. Does a coach want an OBC looking over his shoulder? Call me a skeptic.

Stability was restored today. Fulmer is the AD, and that's not as the interim. No matter what you say or believe, the fan base rejecting Schiano did not damage UT's image...it improved it. The image that has been damaged is Ohio State's for having Schiano on staff.

Yes, you are stirring. Your hate for UT consumes you... But carry on.

I'm not a TN fan but that is all you do is stir. I think TN made a great move here and think the move has opened the door to a bunch of coaches who didn't want to get in bed with Currie/the Haslams. (maybe even coaches that have already turned the job down) Honestly, this reminds me a lot of where Alabama was ~15 years ago --->boosters controlling the Athletic department. This move makes it clear that the boosters are no longer in charge.

The only part of this that rubs me wrong is the notion that the Manning were on the side of Currie and the Haslams.

Some don't understand that if we are talking about the TN program. That we are not talking about a person or member. Will be added to all my sports post, just trying to help.

Come on. My post doesn't mention Schiano or OSU. Talk about consumed. I'm surprised you didn't mention Urban and Hernandez again.

I think you are wrong about the Fulmer appointment but that's just my opinion. Time will tell which of us is right.

Ok so I'll only post when I agree with or support a move by UT.

Fulmer being the AD has got to be the best move, what other move would be better?

None.... Press conference looked like someone trying not to get a needle stuck in their eye.

I didn't say you shouldn't post. But own your intentions, stir away. Don't be disingenuous.

I clearly stated my opinion or "intention." And I owned it. Twice. Because of what's gone on this week, some are sensitive. And "disingenuous"? Where's that coming from? I genuinely don't agree with you or with most, if not all, of the Vols fans, but these are just opinions, which is another way to say I don't mean to "stir." I'm just stating a personal opinion and you and they are free to agree or disagree.

Fulmer says hopefully you screw it up so bad when your younger that your older now you have it all figured out. LOL

You've said it so much and been so critical of it, that you didn't have to say it again. Any casual reader on this forum knows what you were driving at when you said everyone is watching this unfold.

Carry on with your stirring.

IDK guys. How many successful programs out there have their former fired football coach as AD??? Asking for a friend.

Either a casual or interested reader would know the point I was getting at by reading my post. It's plainly stated. You brought OSU and Schiano into it. The Vol football program and athletic department are national news. This is not a local story and people of all stripes and occupations are following it. Schiano has been old news since Tuesday. Vol football program, Vol athletic department, and Vol fans are the national news now. Congratulations.

Just stating facts about the current news cycle based on what I've read on ESPN, Yahoo Sports and other sites and what I've heard on SiriusXM and 104.5. Not targeting any Vol fans in particular.
