Ok so I have been wanting to try this and thought today would be a good day if the opportunity presented itself. Got on a few birds this morning at a buddies farm in Watertown, they ended up being in a field on the other side of the field i was on so i grabbed the b-mobile decoy a borrowed from my buddy and headed toward them. I used the decoy and hid behind it to allow me to get within 60yds of 2 long beards strutting. There were 8 jakes and 11 hens out with them so this was no easy task but the sorta helped me as it was a slight roll to it so i could hold the decoy and fan up and be pretty hid behind it. I had an easy shot on one of the long beards but i just could not get my gun up and over to where he was located. Had a 40-50yd shot at the other one but the dang sun was RIGHT IN MY EYES and i just didnt like the shot.

well they all eased away and i went after them. followed a group of 9 hens, 4 jakes and 1 nice long beard until they went over a small roll in the field. Took the decoy in one hand and gun in the other to the top of that roll. Popped over the roll and he was 60yds out, all i did was make a spitting sound and drumming and he WAS PISSED! he broke strut and was coming right at me. At 40yds i realized if i let him get real close i would prop miss so at 35yds i dropped the decoy and let him have a face full.

I wont lie, its not something i would do all the time but it was without a doubt a rush to accomplish. It would prob never work for me again but man it was awesome!

That's awesome, never done that but I have walked behind a cow that was headed towards some turkeys. Worked perfect cause turkeys don't know how many feet a cow has! Lol! Congrats!
