Took off at 11am, got to the bottom around 12, saw him in strut, put my tom together, stuck him on my left hand, crawled to with in 15 yards of the field, he was around a 100 yards out, I used one of my old knight &Hale fighting purr boxes, hit it a few times and did some short clucks and here he come. Strutting some then looking, I would move my hand up and down, forward and back, when he would look my way I would make the tom look like he was moving towards him and I would do a series of fighting purr sounds, then turn the tom around and do some short clucks like a hen was with him, he strutted in and I shot him at 20 yards. Back at the house by 12:30. 20lbs, 9.3/4" beard and 1" spurs.
