Pulled cards from my cameras today. Had pics of a 3 legged buck. He seems to be in good health. First pics I've had of him and never seen him before.

Reckon it was just born with 3 legs or lost one to a rifle bullet? It could have lost it's leg to a mowing machine when it was a fawn but it would more than likely been easy pickings for a coyote!

Looks like he is looking at your stand in that second pic. Amazing how well they can get around on 3 legs. We have or had a buck that has a dangling front leg, hoof is twisted upward. I saw him in the 2020-21 season, and let him walk. Thought I should have shot him, figured he would be coyote food. Have gotten pics and video of him this past season a year later, so he made it through.

I suppose he eats browse? He couldn't eat anything off the ground I'm guessing. I used to work with a guy and everyone said he was a "my dog is bigger than your dog" type. No matter what story was told he could top it. Someone told a story about a 3 legged dog they had as a kid. He topped it with a story about his 2 legged dog. Said the dog had one back leg and one front leg on opposite sides. They had to put his water bowl up against the house so he could lean on the house to drink. 😂

He actually can reach the ground to eat. Had several pics of him feeding.

There was a three legged deer a doe on my first lease I was on in Giles Co. You could watch her run couldn't tell the difference but when she was walking you sure could . One guy on the lease killed her on one of those either quota either sex hunts we used to put in for . Had her in the old dairy part near the barn she was a cow weighed her & filled dressed in the 120' s best I can remember .

Crazy! I had a pic of a 3-legged deer this past year as well. Only got him during the late summer, no other pics after that.
