Tennessee may have the nation's top quarterback class, as Jones joins Top100 dual-threat passer Jauan Jennings and Top247 pro-style quarterback Quinten Dormady, who both enrolled early. 247Sports ranks Jennings as the country's No. 5 player at his position and No. 89 prospect overall. Dormady checks in at No. 6 and No. 190. Jones is the country's No. 144 prospect overall.

Dont sound like he needs anyone lol the way things are going for him:) Everytime I time I look at SEC news/Recruiting news. Its nothing but good for UT like curt maggitt returning. 4 star DE just committed now another 4 star QB news just keeps getting better for vol fans. When I see stuff about UF is Driskel leaves former 5 star recruit DL freshman kicked from team 2016 Guys changing there minds again:)

Coach Mac just wants anyone to commit so he can say he signed somebody,lol :rotf: !!
 
Going to be some fun years ahead, even Dooley could recruit us in top 25, enjoy gators what we have been going thru, will be fun rubbing in the salts

When was the last time a pro-style QB was recruited to UF? I'm not a fan, so I honestly wouldn't know. But if there's not one on campus now, UF's offense is in trouble.
 
Looks like Peterman will Transfer:/ O well I just watched Video of the 3 QBs that are now committed to UT and they look good. with Dobbs having 2 years left we should be set at QB for years.

Fr. Qbs.. No one wants to see starting QB go down but with Fr. Back ups. Could mean a long season in most cases.
 
^^^ yup:/ not all teams can pull an ohio st. And make it to the N/C game with the 3ed string QB lol. But your right if DOBBS goes down the 2015 Vols team would take a monster HIT!!! But that goes for almost any team that losses there starting QB even if the back up is not a true freshman most SEC back ups have never played a down in a SEC game freshman or not.

I read he wasn't transferring earlier today. I can't say that I blame him though. Unfortunately he's not a gamer and has blown the chances that he's had to take the starting position. I would say that it would be best to transfer in his case. I do say though that the more competition there is the harder the other qbs have to work to earn the spot. Even with Dobbs clearly having the job, with the 2 other duals coming in, he will have to make for sure there's no chance on losing his position which mean he should develop a ton between sophomore and junior year!!!
 
I think the only way peterman was gonna play again is if Dobbs got hurt in the middle of a game and he needed to set a few plays like worley had to against UGA. If Dobbs got hurt and had to miss the rest of the season also like worley, I think CBJ would give a freshman a shot.
