Long story short. I did kill a late season gobbler. Heard him at daylight and he
Was along way. He gobbled just enough to get about 200 yards and started messing with him. I was using slate box and mouth calls and he wasn't buying it. I kept crawling and moving and sliding along when he would gobble at crows. I got to
About 100 yards and grabbed my new trumpet from pappy and said why the heck. Started blowing it and he cut me off double and triple gobbling. He loved it. Gobbled unbelievable for 30 minutes as he slowly worked too me. He didn't strut just ate clover and slowly eased to me. When he got what I thought was in range I fired and he went down. When I went to him I had misjudged pretty bad. Thank u nitros and Remington and rhino. Pulled me out of that one. 18 lb 9 inch beard 7/8 spur and 15/16 spur. A close friend of mine has als and is slowly withering away. He gave me a als bracelet and said here buddy this will give u some luck. I'm not much on man jewelery but I will wear this one gladly. I can't post picture. We seem to be at limit a lot lately

Very nice. Congrats!

How much are those trumpets and how do you get them? I have thought of maybe getting one to work on prior to next season.

Awesome job Muddy!
Congratulations I'm wanting to add a trumpet to my arsenal. I've talked with Pappy, Matt McClain and Steve Turpin but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I've had my hands on a Turpin and McClain. I'll make up my mind before next year.
