I have done it several times. The worse I think was 2 years ago for the Arkansas opener. Got in my hang on and just stood there for about 10 mins because it was so hot I didn't want to sit down or do anything else. I killed a doe that evening. After we finished hunting my buddy said " if you weren't here I would have left because it was so hot". I said heck all you had to do was say the word and I'd beat you back to the truck lol.

Maybe forty years ago. I used to never miss an opening day in September. Spent a lot of time in the Duck & Buffalo Rivers. Nevertheless, go and enjoy.

You should probably go ahead and climb some trees in your yard to get acclimated to it.

I won't even think about hunting more than likely until muzzleloader. I'm not fighting the ticks, snakes, gnats, and all the other flying insects that annoy me.

By the time I've got to my stand last year I had to take off my shirt and shoes just to try to cool. Thought about the under pants but figured that might have gone to far.

I screwed a dozen broadheads onto my arrows and spun them yesterday. 11 arrow/broadhead combinations had no wobble, but arrow #11's broadhead had a slight wobble that I couldn't get straightened out. It looks like I've got a broadhead for the scrap pile.

Already killed a velvet buck in October of 2018 at beginning of regular season. I am good to go and checked that block.

I hunted the South Carolina Sept 15 archery season for several years when I lived there a long time ago, 70 f walking in and 80 in the stand by noon. I don't miss that anymore. October 10th brought opening day for muzzleloader hunting, that was always a lot of fun.
