Can anyone give the most typical rules for the local shoots around Nashville?

depends on the class

stik is correct, it depends on the class. Some classes are all known, some are all unknown and some are half known and the other half unknown. It all depends on the distance you are comfortable shooting and how you have setup your equipment. The most common "beginning" classes are Bow Novice, Hunter, Open C and Women's Hunter.

Depending on your setup, there are all known classes, all unknown class. Half known, half unknown. For the known distance classes bring a rangefinder. Or you can always shoot for fun and shoot the course however youd like
