Another good day! Had already set up on 3 toms and 9 hens, when THEONE called. He was about 25 mins out. I was hunting on a 45 acre plot that is divided by a road. I told him to park and walk towards the big field and burds were going to walk between us. So i cut and ran,hopefully to get in front of them. Worked like a charm, THEONE was there in case they moved right. He made a call and 2 of them gobbled. It was on!! The lead hen broke off and walked towards me. I moved again and got behind a round bale. They walked rite to me. Whole hunt took about 1 1/2 hours. Only 4 calls made the whole hunt. Pretty lucky, once again. Our group has had at least 1 burd down a day since last wed. Lucky bunch.
