Anybody ever shoot the bigger Hevi 13? I bought some the first year Remington offered it. It was 3.5 12 gauge 5 shot and I paid about $25 for a box of 10.
I killed with them but ain't shot any smaller than 6 since.

I used to use 4s or 5s exclusively when Remington Hevi-Shot first came out. Killed several with them, and they had awesome patterns, at least compared to the cheap Winchester Supremes I used.

But the only reason I used 4s or 5s was because I didnt know any better about the energy and weight of the new kind of shot. I wasn't new to turkey hunting, just new to patterning guns. I later realized that 6s and smaller was the way to go with HTL loads.

I've got a bunch of 4's and some 5's in 20 gauge. Actually had geese in mind when I got them but I think I'll try some in my new 20 gauge OU turkey gun.

I got a Yildiz in 20 gauge and 410
