Had a chance to go a while today, ate a bit at McDonalds and headed to the farm.Set up at a place I had taken a gobbler few years ago close to a roosting spot.I was set up at 1:30pm and saw my first gobbler at 2:00pm, he acted like he was scared or sumthing wasn't right, five minutes past and I looked right behind me and saw the second gobbler at 40 yards, he also acted like he was jumpy, then right behind him was the strutter, the one in the field, I couldn't get around on him, he just kept walking up behind me getting closer and closer, I slid the barrel between the 2 trees I was up against put the dot on the head and BOOM. We both got dirt rolled,I just put a new stock and scope on the gun and didn't have it against my shoulder enuf being so close to the tree, and man it cut my nose up something awful.

After the blood stop flowing, I gathered my bloodyself, my decoys amd gobbler and made the mile and half walk back to the truck.Would post picks but man, right now I have got to fix the nose business, dang its sliced up!

Bird picks later, he had 1.1/4" spurs, 21lbs, amd 10.1/2" beard
