This last week i called in 5 mature birds at once.
I got on em on the roost thinking that one of them would come in and they all flew down and went the other direction. After resting them for about an hour and a half i went back after em and ended up talking them into coming in.
I really anticipated there being jakes in this group, but once they were close enough i realized that they all were mature birds with 10" plus beards. What was even more odd was that they apparently had not ran across any hens between the time off the roost and the shot at 8:30.
Ive also seen many gobblers with no hens in the afternoons over the course of the last 2 weeks prolly.
Just wonderin what everyone else is seein,
Do the birds seem a little ahead of schedule?
