Anyone reloading for this round? It's taken me quite some time to find components but I have everything together except bullets. Starline brass, AA2520, SRP's. I really am wanting some 120 Sierra Pro Hunters as an affordable lead soft point. (Shooting lots of hogs at night so prefer affordable stuff) but am having a lot of trouble finding these. What am I missing that could fill this role? I've heard of people using Hornady ELD-M's but was leery of a match bullet. Thanks

I load for the round. The eldm from what I've read do extremely well in the Grendel. My take on it is since it's a slower round it allows the match bullet to not explode and holds together quite well.

I've tried some 2520. Got ok results but nothing that made impressed. Working 8208 now. Still not impressed lol. May look at a new barrel for it.

I've shot mine a bunch, it's a Howa Mini 20" heavy barrel. The 120 eldm and the 123 HPBT over H4895 has been the ticket. I've taken it to 650 on steel down to 6" and I've killed a bunch of hogs. All my shots have passed through using either bullet.

A friend hunts with one and killed a buck that grossed 156" and change last year with his using the eldm.

120 or 123 eldm. Not sure why the 120 wouldn't work, just thought the 123 was geared more for the Grendel than the 120 was

120gr eldm on mine because I couldn't find the 123eldm initially and I had good accuracy from the 120 Sierra.

After mid south started getting the 123 hpbt I switched to them because they are slightly cheaper and my gun loves them.

The buck my friend killed was with the 123eld in Hornady Black factory ammo.

I just built this rifle so I don't have a lot data for it yet. Here is what I have so far. It looks like you are wanting a hunting round, but sometimes seeing the data from another bullet with the same weight can get you going the right direction.

I cut my chamber for the 123's and they shoot great in mine. Won't shoot anything else if I don't have to.
