7-08 load ??

What's the powder for 139 - 150 gr bullets. I'm guessing in the Varget -RL15 range but idk. I never loaded for the 7-08.

Be mainly a woods hunting load but if a man saw a big buck standing 400 yards out in a field walking back to the truck he would want to take a poke.

I never got to load for my Tikka M595 in 7-08, but I had Varget and 140 gr NBT and NAB's lined up for it, before I sold it It was going to be a hunting setup as well.

I know a Nosler Book max load of RL15 works well in my Axis, lower down for my Optima.

I shot many years ago with a buddy that owned a 700 Varminter. He shot Sierra 140 Gamekings paired with IMR4064, I saw many small targets from that rifle.

Mine loves a 140 gr accubond over a max load of imr 4350

My 7mm08 with a pencil barrel (700 Mt.) is finicky. I finally found 42.5g of Varget and a Nosler Ballistic Tip at the right depth will get the holes to touch at 100. It leaves at 2840 ft/sec.

What does "max load" mean? Are you talking about the max load published in some manual, or the max load for a particular rifle?

Mostly what the attorney seems appropriate. Older manuals are typically higher charge weights than today's.

Mine likes about anything I load up with H4350 or Varget.
