7x57 mm Mauser

Anybody on here deer hunt with 7x57mm Mauser? if so, what do y 'all think about it? been looking at some different calibers, and this one caught my attention.

I hunt with a Model 70 Featherweight, 7x57 for deer and it has been a good experience, great bullets available, good sectional density, mild recoil, no hold over to 275 yds.

Dang fine round, and it's never a bad choice for deer. Might be the best there is in a bolt action IMO. A close hunting buddy uses a Ruger 77 in 7x57 and it's nice.

If you handload, lots of doors open.

7mm-08 before there was a 7mm-08… used to take all African big game. Lots of history with that round, but ammo can be somewhat difficult to find. Not an issue if you reload.
