870 Pattern

Well, finally got the new 870 Supermag outfitted with the Nikon scope and shot it last Sunday. 184 in a 10 inch circle at 40 with an Indian Creek .665. Shooting Hevishot Mag blends 3.5s . Wow do they pack a punch. What do you guys think?

I really love the Nikon scope. Can't wait to field test it on a longbeard.

Yeah, I was hoping to get over 200, may try a couple of other chokes next year just to see how they perform. This should get the job done though

I bought this gun from tnturkey. Thinking about reshooting this weekend to verify the pattern and also may try the remington full through it and see what happens. Next year may give the sumtoy a whirl.

tnturkey, did you ever shoot mag blends through the hevishot choke and if so what performance did you get at 40?

Im get anywhere from 190-213 in the 10/40 yards with my magblends, through a polished barrel and ssx choke. My cousin is shooting that same gun as yours with the ssx and win hv 3.5 #5s and getting 130 in the 10/40 yards with unpolished barrel just deep cleaned. Good looking pattern, it will definately kill.
