870 super mag set up

Please list your best pattern on paper at 40 yds. Lets see if we can get the most common set up that works best from an 870. My best is a .665 mad max choke tube, win 3inch number 4 hv loads. At 40 yds I get 75 shots in a 10 inch circle. I know this is not good compared to others. But please post your set up.

I use a primos jellyhead 660 with winchester X-tended range, 3 in, 6 shot ,.. and get 146 shots in a 9 inch foam plate at 40 yards. I've tried about every reasonable choke/shell combo,. out of my gun that is the best.

I'll also note,. this combo gave the best,IMO, pattern at 20 yards. Not tight enough to make for miss shots at the lower yardage. Overall,.. between 20 to 50 yards the jellyhead/x-tended range combo in my gun performed the best shot patterns.

Hard to believe that's a 40 yard pattern as tight as it is???

Yea thats the best one i ever had. Actually when lasered the target it was 38 yards. Sorry for the confusion.
