I checked one out at wally world tonite and was wondering if any you fine folks shoot one...ive owned a couple 870s and they were certainly turkey killers , i just need some insight on the 887 before i drop that kind of money on a new gun...also my fiance would be using it some , but she handles my 835 with 3 1/2s as well as i do , and it is a mud hole stomper for sure.

Save your money. Just my opinion but I don't know many people have have good things to say about it. 870 is a much better option.

I love the idea of the 887's coating and weatherproofing, but, like REN, I have heard nothing good about them. Find you an 870. You won't regret it.

Or get you one of those bobo guns like REN shoots.

I have an 870 and the 887.

Two years of hard duck hunting and turkey hunting, I haven't touched the 870 since.

Btw I have heard the newer generation 887 are MUCH better then the early models

Thanks alot guys , i think in gonna go with the 870 for her , it's a tried and true favorite , and ill just hang on to my 835 for at least one more year.
