I was very fortunate to have had a great uncle that took me under his wing and shared the love of the deer woods with me, he passed away @ 8yrs ago and I miss him greatly. This past summer at a family reunion, his daughter gave me an old photo album that she thought I should have because of his/my relationship.
Well, here are some of the pics that I thought were just great, most are from before I was born. Great stuff all the same.

Very cool. Some big bodied deer. Were all of them killed in NY?

Yes sir, all NY deer.
Most of them were taken in the "southern zone" of NY,(the state is divided into two zones, seperate seasons) Mostly farm country at the time. The three on the VW were northern deer, they tend to be much larger deer due to terrain/harsher conditions of the mtns.

Super pix. Can you imagine loading up a deer in the back of you Toyota corrolla or across the hood of your 2007 ford mustang? Times have certainly changed.
