A few observations from unbiased football lover...

ok. i was hoping TN would pull it out, but i am mostly unbiased. anyway, it was great game no doubt. a few observations

1. Grier is the real deal. has the tools and the gun slinger mentality. he is good enough to play on Sunday and will when the time comes
2. Hurd is very good. not sure of his measurables, but he will get a shot on Sunday as well.
3. Dobbs is a great kid, but not a qb. he stayed away from the deep outs that were open. smart enough to know he didn't have enough zip to get em there on time. 10 for 17 and 87 yards, not going to get it done in the SEC. Next man up...NOW
4. Number 4 for florida, faked the injury to buy time. he did manage to come back in and catch the TD pass on the next play. fast healer
5. UT and Florida are pretty evenly matched, but goodness Florida has them beat by a mile on cheerleaders. yum, yum

great game. Hope the Titans fair better tomorrow

I believe #4 (Powell) had cramp issues..... They where giving him liquids when he was laying on the field and rubbing the cramp out. He also limped off the field after his TD catch....

Dobbs may not be the best passer, but he is one tough runner and kept Tn. in the game. Even the announcers questioned why Tn. didn't go for two after the td early in the game. And, why they settled for a field goal instead of going for a first down deep in Fl. territory. Same gutless decisions that cost them the game against Ok. :bash:
