First let me be clear.
I do not have an archery shop, nor do I have any interest in this Magnus Company. In no way, do I, nor anyone I know personally, make a penney by this endorsement.

I am writing this again this "pre-season" as a way to hopefully help those who may need to find an economical, well built, good performing broadhead.

My son, my friends, and I have killed close to 200 deer with this head. It is a good head.

I am referring to the Magnus Stinger 100 grain 4 blade head. The Buzzcut works well also but we have found that the blades tend to break a little easier. Probably because they are weaker where the serration occurs.

It is important to note that with these heads, tuning your bow is critical. And with any set-up, bow tuning should be paramount anyway, even for the mechanical head shooters.

Also, I do not recommend this head for those of us who are not into taking MANY shots through the season. If you are one to kill only one or three deer per season, and waste FEW heads if any, or if money is not an object, and you can afford heads costing 12-15 dollars each, then dis-regard this info and "spend at will".

But if you are like us, and money matters, and you want to shoot at LOTS of deer, and can't afford to sling 12-15 dollars a shot...I suggest you consider shot placement being critical (as it should be) and trying the Stinger.

THe best part about this head, other than its performance on deer, even BIG deer, is replacement.

Magnus says they do not care if we "use the head as a can opener" they will replace any and all heads FREE.
Just use it, sent it in, and a new head comes back to you.

It is their "gimmick" and it works well.

I have been using them for the past two years myself and I agree 100 percent with your post. I havent taken them up on their replacement offer yet because I have misplaced my proof of purchase. I have gotten my moneys worth though because they are so easy to re-sharpen.

Last year, just like all the years before, our group sent back well over 50 heads to Magnus. No receipt, no worries.
Some were still covered in dry blood and hair.

Not only does this company send you back brand new heads, they will send you a t-shirt and or a hat if you attach a pic and a story.

I have never dealt with a company better than Magnus.

The first season I used these heads, I called the company and questioned their warranty. I did not want to take advantage of a product I was so satisfied with. They assured me to send all used heads back to them.

That was almost ten years ago when they were operating in a basement.

Now, years later, I own over 40 heads and this company still sends me new heads if I send them the old ones. My son and I usually wait until the season is over and will sometimes send Magnus a couple dozen at once.

They will not swap them for any other head, just the head or blade you are sending to them.

Honestly, I do not encourage beginners or part time bow hunters to use this product. Beginners have a tendency to forget about picking a spot on their first few deer. And in truth, these guys need a HUGE gaping hole if they are putting an arrow through the guts of a deer.

No doubt there are heads that have more potential for more cutting area than the 1 1/16th diameter of the Stinger.
But none are any sharper of a head.
And in a properly tuned bow, none shoot any better.

But economically, Magnus is hands down a great performer for the money.

Its what my wife uses! Great head for penetration! The stinger buzz cut does penetrate. But they still cost 34.99 for three pack at local bass pro
