Here's the results of a little project that I undertook yesterday. I started with a used and abused Scott Longhorn release that had some deep scratches and pitting in the red anodized finish.

After removing the anodizing I proceeded to remove the dings, pitts, and scratches. Once I was satisfied with a smooth dent free surface I polished the release until it looks like it was dipped in chrome. The picture don't do it justice, even if I say so myself!

If you haven't already seen it before user "Vftcandy" on Archery Talk specializes in polishing releases. His work is pretty impressive. He polished a Scott Exxus that looked sweet!

Yes sir, I have seen the candy shop posts and VTFcandy does really nice work! I think my polish job turned out really pretty also! Ole Huntfish, knew a good thing when he saw it! Thanks buddy!!!

Thank you UTG for Hi-jacking my thread and taking away from newly polished bling for my bow! Yep, that's you there buddy, taking away from all my hard work by telling the world how much better his work is than mine! Sounds like a gen-u-wine friend for sure and with friends like that ......... I'm just gonna pack up my toys and cry myself all the way home!

Just kiddin' with you UTG! Please try not to be too thin skinned this time!
