A New $2,000,000,000 Stadium Will Fix This Right Up

Politicians got to send that 2.1 billion in contracts to their supporters. Six months into construction and they are already 135 million over budget. But hey, what's a hundred million here or a hundred million there?? They won't spend the money to secure the schools, but they will damn sure spend billions on a football stadium. It's hard for me to believe we have fallen this far.

👍🏻😉😀 my # 1 hope for the titans is they pack up and move to St Louis or somewhere. That's been my hope since 1998 when the announced they were coming to Tennessee. If that's not possible I hope they perpetually go 0/16 or how ever many games they play.

Not a lot of sympathy for the residents of Davidson County. They voted these people into office.

Incidentally, they don't need more money for schools - they just need to start spending wisely. Another self-inflicted wound.

I've said it time and time again. The Adams family only cares about putting asses in seats and making money. They take advantage of a hopeful and loyal fanbase. Look at the franchise history. It's mediocre at best. They will never spend the money to be a contender. If they are a contender, it's a fluke. I wouldn't build them a stadium. They'd play in that stadium and like it or move!

Actually if you are a resident of the state of TN you are paying as well. If I remember correctly, negotiations were breaking down between city and titans. That's when the illustrious governor stepped in and said the state would pay $500,000,000 towards the stadium AND if metro didn't go along with it then the state would overtake the Nashville Sports Council and also attempt to take over the Airport Authority.
So, instead of placing all blame on the county residents, blame also falls on residents of the state as ALL of us voted these people in office and they have determined professional sports teams (billionaires playgrounds) are more important than the schools
Sad!!

Can't argue with that at all. Corruption from top to bottom.

High school football is about all I care to watch anymore. I watch some UT because my son goes there but that's about it. Exactly how will a new NFL stadium help the people of Tennessee? Where's the ROI?

Particularly when you consider most of the construction jobs are going to out-of-state companies - just like last time.

IMO, the stadium has little to do with the Titans. It has more to do with filling way over priced hotel rooms forty weeks out of the year. I highly suspect that they spent more time worrying about acoustics than they did sight lines for watching football.

I'm not big on the Titans, but, for me, it is hard to see this being a negative for Nashville with the way it is being financed. I suspect it will end up making Nashville some money.

talking to titans fans are alot like talking to vols fans. They wanna talk about that one time when they were almost great 20+ years ago and how they almost did this or did that but haven't done anything. They ARE the Houston Oilers pile of vomit just dressed in a different uniform.

Metro Nashville ran a YES campaign and forced this on Nashville Tax Payers. When the YES Campaign did not meet certain obligations like selling so many PSL's the Nashville Banks wound up buying them all of to save their rears. It was all orchestrated by Breadeson sp? and Gaylord and they got in bed with I think it was Governor Sundquist sp? at the time and stuck us with all of this. The Taxes on My Nashville Home went up THAT Calender year from 2K to 4K and I am now paying almost 7K for it.

Me also!!Ive not watched since the knee thing!!
To reiterate what I have said 1000 times on here I only FOLLOW the NFL and its players. MAINLY ALABAMA players. I did tune into ONE MANNING Cast just to see Nick Saban one night. Was not WATCHING the game. Was there more to see Nick Saban and his candor. After Nick Tuned out so did I.
