Any suggestions on what to grow in a small plot, about 1/2 acre, that would attract more squirrel and rabbits for the young ones to hunt. I like to take them now and again myself too.

My (mostly) red clover plot is loaded with rabbits when I walk out there. Not sure about squirrels in a food plot though.

Thanks, I'll try the clover, maybe a row of peanuts on the outside for the squirrels. The ground can get quite moist so not sure how well the peanuts will do.

Squirrels love corn . It's all i can do to keep them from devouring the corn in my garden.

Dang ole squirrels....I've got pictures of them at my mineral sites...

Rabbits love RED CLOVER! While they eat my white clover plots, the Red Crimson Clover plots have a lot more rabbits...

Red clover seems to be the choice here, dont want to get to crazy just a plot for the kids to hone their skills and get a little brunswick stew in the process.

Rabbits love clover, but will eat anything green. I see them eating wild oats on my place almost daily.

I have seen fox squirrels eat brassicas and wheat in my food plots.
