Took a buddy out this morning that doent really know much about turkey hunting. Even with the rain had 5 gobbling at us. Got set up and ended up calling one in from over 500yds (wasn't one we were set up on but liked what I had I guess) got him to within 25 yds and BOOM he missed lol. Well I told him atleast you don't have to walk all the way back with him hahaha. Good hunt either way

well were i went wrong was not taking my gun....i wanted him to shoot the bird so I left the gun in the truck...will know better next time lol

heading back out for the afternoon, hoping to score as I have killed a bird opening morning for the past 8 years, dont want my streak to end on a MISSED SHOT

I got a buddy that did the same thing i wanted to leave him in the woods lol but my father-inlaw killed him 2 days later it was his best bird 26lbs 9oz 1 1/4 spurs.

hahah well i made fun of him pretty much the rest of the day, and told everyone at church on Sunday and posted it on his and his wife's facebook page hahah.

i brought him a box of rocks to church on Sunday and told him he might as well just hunt with them as they will kill the bird about the same as his gun.

it was fun either way but my streak did end. I could have shot a few Jakes sat afternoon but decided to pass.
