Long story short. I drew back on an 8 point and twice on a doe this morning. My loop closed up and caused my arrow to float toward the end of the draw and fall off the rest (Down Force). I know the problem is the loop closing up, but if I had been using a rest with containment, I'd have some meat in the freezer.

I bought a Ripcord SOS today. I like that it operates much like the Down Force, but you can raise the rest before drawing.

Should I attach the string to the cable or use the "football" and attach to the bottom limb?

Attach it to the string via running it through the cable and then serve it in.....I've seen way too many problems with that p.o.s. "football".

Also, your main problem is you need to widen the gap of your d-loop as you are getting "nock pinch" at full draw if that arrow was rising up off of whatever rest your using. Then same thing will happen again, no matter what kind of rest your using. You should have no less than 1/8" of space in between the bottom of the nock and the top of the bottom loop to prevent this in the future.

Yeah, the loop was definitely the problem, but it brought out another weak point in my setup. I had a Ripcord (older model) on my Q2 served into the cable and had no problems out of it.

I hate changing things in the middle of the season, but the peace of mind will be worth it.
