I believe im about to buy a Wicked Ridge Warrior from GM. Im waiting on them to get it in the actual store so I can shoot it before I buy it. Any advice for the first time crossbow buyer?

I look at the wicked ridge warrior online, I like what it has to offer. but I settle for the Excalibur.

1.Look at the scope, I have two crossbows, one with the red dot scope and the other with the regular scope. I like the regular better no batt.
2. Heaviness although it just a few pound heaver then the excal, if you hunt like I do there will be a lot of walking.
Other then those two things I don't know what else to say.Wicked Ridge is made by ten-point so it should be a great crossbow. good luck with it and have fun shooting it.

Cheaper then shooting .22. lol

Another reason I settle for the Excalibur was that I do not have to change the dial for each 10 yards like I do on my PSE. I just aim and shoot.

What I am talking about is my PSE is set up to shoot out to 40 yards, but I have to change the dial on the side for each 10 yards. I know there are a few other crossbows that you also have to do that on. No big deal but the less you have to move the better.

Plus I can de-chocolate chip cookie it without shooting it at the end of the hunt. A big plus.

Well another Brand/model you may concider is the Mission MXB320. Its light, narrow good speed at 320 fps. You can get it bare buy things you want fer outfit. You can change its string n harness cables wid out a press & its short/compact. Yup i own one & i owbn a few Excals also. Trigger is great n it shoots rather quiet. Don't hurt to look n shoot one prior to buyin
