ACC Divisions in all sports

ACC talking about 3 divisions. 3 divisions may allow the ACC to reduce the # of conference games enticing Notre Dame to fully join for football. This could be what they had in mind when the ACC says they want the freedom to alter things. It would be good for teams like Notre Dame, Clemson and FSU that can make more money playing home and home's against nationally followed teams (or an extra home game in some years) and increase the now much more important strength of schedule that a championship game matching the 2 top teams would produce.
This would help FSU with strength of schedule and keep them in the NCAA Championship Series.

How would they sort out the conference champion in football with a 3 division setup? A three team playoff with the #1 team getting a bye? Do they have to get NCAA blessing to add an extra game? Interesting concept, just wondering how the logistics would work out.
