I'm discovering that there are just about as many accessories to hang off of a bow as there are for an AR-15 and many of them are targeted towards newbies like myself.

One thing that I really want to do is work towards making my bow quieter. I shot beside my brother and nephew and mine sounds like a shotgun next to a .22. I've dug around and poked here and there and late last night found and bought a Saunders Buzz Off Slide / Silencer Cable Slide

(http://www.amazon.com/Saunders-Buzz-Sli ... B000NGV2Y4)

I found them advertised in the $40 - $50 range. Found one one at The Bow Hunters Superstore (http://www.bowhunterssuperstore.com) for $19.95. Was wondering if anyone had an experience with this one or one like it.

never heard of that, but some limbsaver rubber pads on your limbs will help like you wouldnt imagine. also if you can spring for a string stopper itll quiet it a lot as well

I don't have open limbs like the newer bows. There's just enough room for the cams. With an older bow finding parts and pieces that fit is a challenge.

Limbsaver used to make limb silencers with adhesive on the back for solid limbs, not sure if they still do though. Worth a shot.

They make some of those for solid limbs that just stick on. String whiskers have worked better for me that the string leeches.

Make sure you don't have any screws loose anywhere or something that could be vibrating.
