I'm getting back into bowhunting this fall after a two year absence...due to the economy, can't spend but around $400 for a bow so...I'm looking at products such as Strike by Bear or Craze or maybe The Venture by Mission..although that one is a bit much.Any advice on a middle priced bow??

I've looked at a few all over...shot an outback the other day...guy has it for sale at a local shop here(Rockwood) for $400. Nice feel to it but a little bit much IMO...I liked the Switchback XT much better back when I had one. That might be the way to go...used SWITCHBACK XT...If anyone wants to sell or knows someone who might have a Switchback xt for sell...let me know...I'll be looking on Ebay also...I'm right handed...a shorter draw archer..271/2 length.

If your looking for a used bow and know what you want check Archery Talk. You can find some real good deals on there. From my experience they will be cheaper on there than ebay. Of the bows you mentioned in your first post, I have only seen the Venture. I liked it and came close to buying it for a back up but changed my mine. I guess you have thought about this but maybe not so I'll mention it. If you buy a used bow, an Elite is the only bow that I know of where their warranty will transfer to you. It doesn't bother me to buy used because I can do my own work and can find parts on Archery Talk and Ebay, but it is something to consider.
