You can get a lot of good recommendations on a shell/choke combo.  However, what shoots good in one guys 870 may not be good in anothers.  Well, it may be good enough but not the best.  The only way you are going to really know what is best out of your gun and your max distance is, is to get some different types of shells and try them.
