Who is on the list of future coach?

Anyone who thinks that this Saturday's game has serious implications towards the job status of either coach is pretty delusional.

I totally agree that both coaches can't loose this game but there is one difference. We are comparing coaches at different stages at their programs. This is CBJ 5th season and fans haven't forgot the Vandy or SC games last season and this game would just pile on the heat. I could See CBJ being fired after this season with a 6-6 or 7-5 record.

On the other hand I could see the same thing for CJM but a year later and they would point back to this lose for one of the reasons. CJM isn't going to be fired after this season with two SEC East Championships in his first two years. The only way that I could See CJM being fired after this season is if several more of his players are arrested.

I agree, but you know the headhunters will be out in full force after the game.
Both should be safe through next year.

Butch should be on notice, but unfortunately, we're stuck with him. A large portion of the UT fan base is accepting of mediocre coaching and ho-hum seasons.

Then consider that the AD is in his first year of tenure. If he fires Butch this season, the clock starts ticking on HIS job.

A Florida loss won't do him in, but a finish like last year will.

yup, If they get beat by UF, they go take care of Umass the week after, & will still be setting pretty good at 3-1

its gonna be the Vandy,KY,SC & Missouri games down the stretch that could do CBJ in.

From a neutral persons stand point, I agree. I think Butch Jones is coaching to keep his job at this point.

Yep.... Dooley wasn't fired only for his last season at UT. UT fans and boosters didn't forget that Dooley lost the year before to a KY team that had a WR playing QB that didn't throw a pass that game.
