What y'all think is he 3.5 or 4.5???
One pic he'll Look 3.5 the next I'll think 4.5 obviously he's got some really cool character but if he's 3.5 I want to let him go one more year...

Prolly about 36.

I'll take that into consideration... Butthead
 really good buck either way. I pretty much don't bother trying to age them in the summer. More of a wild guess than accurate. And either way I would shoot him. Good luck

Better man than me.

That's why I said WANT not will...lol... If he gives me the opportunity he may die regardless but I do try and let all the bucks on the farm walk till 4.5... The deer there are very much year round homebodies except the occasional rut drifter

I'd go along with 4.5 years old. His buddy is no slouch either.

His buddy is my top target for this year and he's a tank, but it'll take some luck to kill him.... Spent most my season after I killed my other target buck opening morning of muzzle trying to kill him and never set my eyes on him. Although I got pics of him in broad daylight on thanksgiving and the day after in a BSK special mock scrape...

I think he's a stud 3.5 year old maybe 4.5 but if you harvest him at 3.5 or 4.5 you won't know what he'll make at 5.5 when he'll most likely reach his full potential! Either way he's a stud! It's all up to you though if he's what you want and are happy with him there won't be a thing wrong he's yours! Best of luck this year with whatever you decide! :super:

Considering your location, and the caliber of deer you typically have, I'm gonna bet he's just a 3 year old. I'm sure you've had as much rain as I have. The deer here have put on the pounds in the last 8 weeks. Testosterone levels are starting to rise in correlation with the weight gain. A lot of bucks are appearing larger than normal, for this time of year.

It's an admirable goal, and when I grow up I'm going to try to do the same. :D I would be more inclined to pass really good 3.5 year olds if my deer were homebodies as well, but they are far-ranging river bottom deer. They don't appear until mid to late September. I will get several pictures through the fall and winter, but the odds of me seeing the same bucks the next year have not proved favorable. So for me, they just need to be 3.5 and "big enough." But as big and unique as your deer is, I can't imagine a situation in which I wouldn't shoot him on sight.

Consensus seems to think he's 4.5 this year, and I would agree. If you put him on the list, good luck with him.

4.5+. His body looks too mature to me to be 3.5. Id bet he looks like a bull come November if hes not already in the freezer
