Just takes practice. Keep at it.

Plus, it's more of an art than a science. Even the best at it don't get them all right by any means. I've been working on field-judging age skills for over 15 years, with thousands of buck pictures to work from every year, but I still only get 4 out of 5 right (my age estimation matching the toothwear-indicated age).
