I rarely if ever shoot a doe tha isn't mature. The farm I am hunting will be bulldozed this spring and I had a long drag. Dressed 70 lbs and she should eat great. Couple of mature does were there also, but I did not want to drag them that afternoon. Air rifle puts a "hurt" on the deer.

Of course it'll be bulldozed I'm sure to build houses for out of state Yankees so they can fluffy kitten about how backwards TN is. And the town council can bend over backwards for them. Leaving the local population over taxed and priced right out buying there first home cause it and all homes and land is now drastically overpriced. Yay isn't it just grand. We might smile in your face but no we don't want you here. It's the same story with FL and the rest of the states they flocked to long ago.

That post really added to the air rifle topic:)

Questions:

How quiet are those? Effective range for an affordable one not the best on out there? Accuracy? Normally get a pass through?
So far, 5 deer total with it, all pass throughs, anywhere from real close to 90 yards. I believe it is lethal to 100 yards. There a video on youtube of a guy killing a mouflon sheep with the same gun as I have at 198 yards.

I can hit a golf ball with it out to 100 yards.

My son hunts with a Benjamin Bullpup .357 cal. We are comfortable out to about 70 yards. The gun is pretty loud out of the box, we added a suppressor and that helped a lot. They are extremely accurate.

Jim Shockley had an ad for a big caliber pellet gun. Checked on it. It cost more than three of my firearms put together!
Bulldozed? Homes or planting trees for pulp wood?
