Is it legal to harvest albino turkey?
I called in an all white bird this morning. Only thing not white was its beard and of course legs. Very cool looking.

Back in the day on our old Hawkens County lease, the GW said to pop every white bird we saw, in season or out. He said it was a genetic mutation and they didn't want that in the flock. Never saw the white hen after that but my buddy shot one that was silver, prettiest Turkey I ever have seen. Only other white bird that I've seen was in the GSMNP, and it was more silver than white.

A true albino Turkey would be unbelievably rare. More likely leucistic. And yes they are legal.

I love silver turkeys. Haven't seen many but it's the most common color phase I've seen. Never seen an all white turkey.

Hahah if you killed him and asked later if legal you are a legend in my book :)

Lol. No did not shoot him. I thought real hard about it, but was not sure. He better not show up again. He would make a beautiful mount!

Gwtaylor . . . This you?

I'd shoot that bird in a heartbeat!! Mount it and tell whoever had a problem with it that they could shove it.

Nope not me, but this bird sure looks like the one I saw.
I know it's not the same bird for I'm located in Northeast TN
