All I got is bears!!! update

He's young. The ears appear to be on top and large. A big bear's ears look small and are on the side of the head. I hope that you get a chance to take him or his daddy out.

I've seen over 40+ bears treed and its hard to judge a bear ,but it is a good bear for sure . I killed one that was about the same size and it was 250 pounds

For the life of me, I can't judge a bear when it is by itself. I need scale, or comparison with another bear.
Besides the ears, what are some other things to look for when trying to identify a big/mature bear?

Thats the best way. A standing pic (on all 4 feet I mean) will show his girth. Also look at the size of there lower legs. Big bears have thick wrists/ankles
