ALMOST DON'T COUNT

Went to a different spot on the farm this morning. Got there late, around 745. Since wind was howling I cranked up the old box call. Hit hard for 30 seconds or so then quit. Waited about 15 minutes and hit it again, Saw 3 long beards coming across a field ,coming hard. For some reason they stopped about 75 yards out, started strutting, gobbling and fanning. Could not get them to come any closer. After a few minutes they lost interest and moved away into the woods. well did see a disappointing show, This is why they call it hunting

The wind helped me as it was blowing hard from the south. Birds were coming into the wind to see me

Had lots of them hangup and eventually walk away when they didn't see the hen
