Thinking about getting one of these, I tried one on at the convention and really liked it. They have the kickstand like the cabelas tatr2. Macks prairie wings has them for $129 if anyone is looking for one.

I think I'm gonna go with the alps outdoorz vest, I may regret it but I really liked it when I put it on at the convention.

I did some reading on their turkey chairs last year and the overriding theme in the reviews was that their chairs were of better quality than the rest. I have no idea about their packs or vests, but don't see why they would think durability wasn't an issue to be answered with them as well.

I have the Alps turkey chair. I'm 6'2" and 230 and I really like it. Alps has added a wider version of the turkey chair to their product lineup. I also have an Alps folding camp chair that I love and an Alps portable camp table that is awesome. Alps is definitely not a premium brand, but some of their stuff is pretty decent.

I paid 89.99 for my vest I don't have the kickstand though I don't like the kick stand personally. Keep an eye out for them but do whatever makes you happy I know you will like the cabelas I can't speak for this one.

I tried it on at the convention and didn't like it. With the frame it felt very rigid like a flat piece of metal across your back at all times. Was very surprised how noticeable the frame was when walking and bending. There isn't and padding to buffer the frame from your back and the frame is not contoured so it is flat across. Couldn't stand it. Did like the lay out but no way could I wear this all day. I feel the design was made to sell not to wear. It has a lot of potential. I'd buy if I found for 70 ish and remove the frame.

7lbs (with frame)! Gotta be the heaviest vest ever made.

Alot of people must of liked them, Alps and the turkey shoppe were sold out on Sat.
People were buying them up. But I saw several buy without even trying it on. I put in on, got up walked around, bent over, got up and down. Tried to simulate regular movements. Just wasn't for me. Seemed well built though.
