Glassed 12 bucks in the field last evening. 4 have shed velvet. 3 of the bucks were newcomers. They must be starting to shift.

Seems a little early. Where I hunt most are out of velvet by archery season but I don't really start finding rubs for another 2-3 weeks after that.

It's an odd year. Typically the older bucks shed first here, but the ones I saw were younger. The weather has been wacky the last 2 months.
