I am going to try it this year! Told myself the Mossberg isn't coming out of the safe untill I get one with a bow!

Any tips or pointers is appeciated!

A ground blind is the way to go if you have one. It's easier after the green up if you're not using a blind.

i'll be lucky to kill one with a gun haha. i said year before last if i kill 3 i'll take 4 with a bow. i got 3 and after missing 2 brought out the gun for the last one. good luck hope you get a monster

Seems near impossible to get drawn on one without getting busted unless you're in a blind. If I didn't have to sit in a blind, I might try it. I just can't get over sitting in a tent whe I originally set out to be "outdoors". Miss too much cool stuff in a blind. IMO.

Im only gonna buy a archery licence this year. if you hunt turkey's with a bow do you buy the archery stamp?? can you use the archery stamp during deer season?? thanks WORM

good to know about the lic.. will be laid off before you know it!!! need to get a few item's before season start's.. been working on my calling WORM

I have killed a few with a bow . If you are in a good spot a portable blind works well for bowhunting . The draw back is that they are not as mobile as going without a blind . You need to be spot on with your setup near a roost , a preferred travel route, or strutting area or you will be listening to birds gobble in the distance .
Shot placement is key to putting a bird on the ground . Here is a good article : http://www.jesseshunting.com/site/bowhu ... rkeys.html
