I've lost 60# over the last year and five months so I was looking for a new vest (been using the Elite II for several years). I'm going a different route this year for a change. I just received my Raptor camo Ribz front pack. I bought the large. I think this is going to be a sweet alternative to the vest.

Never heard of it, but sounds good. I've never used a vest and don't really like the idea of added bulk and doesn't match the rest of my camo (I know that doesn't really matter)

Usually I carry stuff in cargo pockets, and/or a small pack of some sort. This year I plan to use a fanny pack I bought to see if I like it.

Fanny Pack lol. Sorry being an 80s kid it will never not be funny to me

Check out the Turkey Thugs fanny pack in Mossy Oak Obsession at Wal Mart. It has lots of dedicated compartments for your calls and gear.

I've considered just using a pack, to be cooler and lighter. All I carry is a few mouth calls and a slate.
But them deep pockets can come in handy sometimes with a vest, plus the old game bag on the back if you are ever a long ways from the car.
I like to tote them out over my shoulder the old school way, but if im a long ways from the truck I ain't embarrassed to put him in the bag!!
